# Can I submit my film if it is not finished yet (work in progress) ?

Yes, you can submit your film as a **"work in progress" before the [registration deadline](https://helpdesk.annecyfestival.com/en/article/what-is-the-deadline-for-submitting-my-film-1ecb6qf/)**.

The Festival will consider unfinished films provided that they are sufficiently developed to be judged and that the submitter agrees **to finish it by 15th May 2026.**

Please __tick the corresponding option on your film’s registration form__ and __write it in the work’s title__ (e.g.: Film title – WIP) and include the date you are planning on completing your film.
At any point during the selection process, the Festival may ask you for a more up-to-date version of your film.

If not selected this time, films registered as a work in progress may be submitted the following year.
