Short film category
Sections - Short Films and Young Audiences
CITIA provides subtitling for French-language and non-French-language short films entered in competition for these sections.
CITIA will cover the full cost of subtitling, on condition that participants supply time-coded lists of the original dialogues and their French or English translation.
Sections - Perspectives and Off-Limits
Films with dialogues selected for these sections will only be shown in their original version if they are subtitled in English, at the expense of the entrant.
Feature film category
Section - Competition
French-language Feature films selected for the Competition must be subtitled in English by the producers, at their own expense.
Non-French-language feature films selected for the Competition must be subtitled in French by the producers, at their own expense.
Section - Contrechamp, Midnight Specials and Annecy Classics
Feature films selected for these sections may be presented in English only or with English subtitles.
Section - Annecy Presents
Non-French-language Feature films selected for the Annecy Presents section must be subtitled in French by the producers, at their own expense.
Graduation films
Graduation films entered in the competition may be shown in their original version if subtitled in English.
Commissioned films
Commissioned films entered in the competition may be shown in their original version if subtitled in English.
Television films
Non-French-language Television films selected for the competition must be subtitled in French by the producers, at their own expense.
French-language Television films selected for the competition must be subtitled in English by the producers, at their own expense.
