How do I attend a screening or an event ?
You need an accreditation or a ticket in order to attend a screening or an event.
Here are the various steps to follow once you have purchased your accreditation :
- Browse the programme online
This is one of the most important moments in April ! Log in to your account to browse the programme in your connected area and you can also create your favourites before the ticketing service opens.
Each listing contains specific information about each screening and event (language, subtitles, audience, location) that you should take into account when making your reservations.
- Reserve your screenings and/or events
Finally, the moment you've been waiting for has arrived : the ticketing service opens the week before the Festival. Be quick, seats go very fast !
We strongly recommend using a computer and a good internet connection to maximise your chances of getting a reservation. Find out how to make a reservation here.
- Let the animation-packed week begin !
Be on time, your admission into the theatre is guaranteed up until 10 minutes before the screening/event begins.
Please take this time limit into account when making your reservations, especially if the screenings you have chosen are taking place in two different venues.
Try your luck in the "Badgeholders without a reservation" queue: you can enter subject to availability. A little patience will go a long way !
Remember to leave your luggage or any large items before going to theatre screenings or events.
A luggage locker service (infos to come) is available at the Festival and the Mifa. It's important to travel light to ensure you gain entry to the venue.
What would a Festival be without its traditions ? Here are 2 of Annecy's absolute must-dos :
- Paper aeroplanes : the aim is to touch the screen with your paper aeroplane. Have your best pieces of paper at the ready ! Check out this tutorial to maximise your chances of success !
- "Lapin" : the Festival's mascot (a rabbit), it appears in the opening credits and each time you spot him on the screen you shout "Lapin !"
