  • When will it be possible to submit a film for Annecy 2026?

  • I would like to submit a feature film. What are the entry conditions?
    To be eligible, Feature films must : be made for cinema, be completed after 1st January 2025, and have a running time of over 60 minutes, including credits. Selected Feature films (in all categories: Competition, Contrechamp, Midnight Specials, Annecy Presents) must be unseen in France until the end of the Festival. The only exceptions are the Festival de Cannes, its official selection, the Directors' Fortnight, La Semaine de la Critique and ACID. However, the rights holderSome readers
  • I have made a short film that could be developed into a series or feature: how to submit it?
    You can only submit your finished short to the official selection in the short film category. If you have developed this short film into a feature project you can submit it to the Mifa Pitches along with all the documents required by the regulations. However, the Mifa Pitches selection committee will evaluate it as a feature project and not judge the short film.Few readers
  • Can I submit my film if it is not finished yet (work in progress) ?
    Yes, you can submit your film as a "work in progress" before the registration deadline. Please tick the corresponding option on your film’s registration form and write it in the work’s title (e.g.: Film title – WIP) and include the date you are planning on completing your film.   • I am a student, can I submit my film in the Short Films category ?
    Please note, if you are a student and your film was made as part of your academic studies, it must be entered in the Graduation Films category. When registering you must specify the institution (school or university) where the film was produced.Few readers
