  You can register your work via your user account in the "Submit a film" section. Select the relevant category for your work and read the terms and conditions and registration fees that apply to your category. Fill in all the information requested in the form.   You can save your film's submission form as a draft and add additional information later. The form is automatically saved in your "My works Submitted works" tracking page. • I have already submitted my work. Can I still make changes?

  You can only make changes to your work before paying your submission fee. Once payment has been confirmed, your submission is finalised, and you can no longer make any changes.Few readers

  No, unless the film you submitted to the 2025 edition was unfinished when you registered it at the time and you specified "work in progress" or "WIP" in the work's title.Few readers

• I would like to submit a feature film. What are the eligibility criteria?

  To be eligible, Feature films must: be made for cinema, television or any other broadcast platform, be completed after 1st January 2025, and have a running time of over 60 minutes, including credits. Selected Feature films (in all categories: Official, Contrechamp, Midnight Specials, Annecy Presents) must be unseen in France until the end of the Festival. The only exceptions are the Festival de Cannes, its official selection, the Directors' Fortnight, La Semaine de la critiquPopular

• I have made a short film that could be developed into a series or feature: how do I submit it ?

  Your short film must be submitted and is only eligible in the Festival's Short Films category. If you have a project to develop this short film into a feature project you can submit it to the Mifa Pitches along with all the documents required by the regulations. However, the Mifa Pitches selection committee will evaluate it as a project in development and not judge the short film.Some readers

• Can I submit my film if it is not finished yet (work in progress) ?

  Yes, you can submit your film as a "work in progress" before the registration deadline. The Festival will consider unfinished films provided that they are sufficiently developed to be judged and that the submitter agrees to finish it by 15th May 2026. • Last year, I entered my film with the "work in progress" label. It was rejected. Do I still have to pay the submission fee this year?

  Yes, the submission fees are mandatory for all submissions. No discount can be offered for any film presented the previous year as a "work in progress."Few readers

• I am a student, can I submit my film in the Short Films category ?

  Please note, if you are a student and your film was made as part of your academic studies, it must be entered in the Graduation Films category. When registering you must specify the institution (school or university) where the film was produced.Few readers

• Is my film eligible if it has already been screened at a festival, on a platform, on television or online?

  Film submissions do not require exclusive screening rights, except for the Feature Films category. Selected Feature films (in all categories: Official, Contrechamp, Midnight Specials, Annecy Presents) must be unseen in France until the end of the Festival. The only exceptions are the Festival de Cannes, its official selection, the Directors' Fortnight, La Semaine de la critique and ACID. • How do I send the link to view my film?

  Films must be submitted to the Festival using the online submission form, either by indicating a web address (URL) of a viewing platform (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) in the submission form, or by uploading the film directly to the submission platform (max 5 Go).   Short Films category Sections – Official and Young Audiences The Festival provides subtitling for French-language and non-French-language short films entered in competition for these sections.
