    Film submissions for Annecy 2025 are now closed for Short Films. Feature film submissions are open until March 15, and VR film submissions until March 25.Some readers

  • I would like to submit a feature film. What are the entry conditions?
    To be eligible, Feature films must have been made for cinema, completed after January 1, 2024, and have a running time of over 60 minutes, including credits. Selected Feature films (in all categories: Competition, Contrechamp, Midnight Specials, Annecy Presents) must be unseen in France until the end of the Festival. The only exceptions are the Festival de Cannes, its official selection, the Directors' Fortnight, La Semaine de la Critique and ACID. However, the rights holder mustSome readers
  • I have made a short film that could be developed into a series or feature: how to submit it?
    You can only submit your finished short to the official selection in the short film category. If you have developed this short film into a feature project you can submit it to the Mifa Pitches along with all the documents required by the regulations. However, the Mifa Pitches selection committee will evaluate it as a feature project and not judge the short film.Some readers
  • My film has been selected. Do I have to pay for the subtitling?
    Short film category Sections - Short Films and Young Audiences CITIA provides subtitling for French-language and non-French-language short films entered in competition for these sections. CITIA will cover the full cost of subtitling, on condition that participants supply time-coded lists of the original dialogues and their French or English translation. Sections - Perspectives and Off-Limits Films with dialogues selected for these sections will only be shown in their original versioSome readers
  • If my film is selected, what's the deadline for sending in the screening copy?
    The deadline for receipt of copies is 15th May 2025. But if we have to subtitle the film we will need it before 1st May, 2025.Few readers
